Tulbaghia violacea Alba - society garlic
APPEARANCE : Evergreen perennial lily related to the garlic, with blue-green strappy foliage. Ornamental plant with white flowers during the warmer months.
USE IN: Borders, as a ground cover and in rockeries. Also suited to container planting. .
PLANTING: Plant in a full sun to partly shaded position in the garden. Frost and drought tolerant, but will thrive in moist conditions. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks.
CARE: Fertilise during spring, divide and replant if necessary at this time to allow the plant to develop.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: Up to 40 cm H x 20 cm W.
YOUR PLANTS: These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide. May be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on. You can see an example in the image gallery.
