This brand new Maxsie is really a mini! This pint-sized Queensland beauty has all the glamour of tall-stemmed Queen Mum in half the height. They'd make a beautiful pair planted together in a border!

Big round flowerheads are made up of florets that shade from deep blue to pure white. Maxsie also sets very few seeds - which makes it a wise choice for low maintenance gardens.

Agapanthus orientalis 'Maxsie'™ PBR ‘PMB012’
Strappy leaved vigorous border plant with big flowerheads on smooth straight stems. Flowers are unusually shaded deep blue at the base shading to white at the lips. Rarely selfseeds so well behaved in gardens.
USE FOR :  As a border plant. Very happy in containers.
CLIMATE : Humidity and drought tolerant once established. Surprisingly tolerant of cold but growth is restricted in these conditions.
PLANTING : Agapanthus are surprisingly hardy and worth a go in most protected areas but will prefer full sun to part shade.  Plant in a well drained soil, mulch and fertilise when planting but not too rich in organic matter and go easy with the fertiliser. Protect from frost until established.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Deadhead after flowering to promote blooms during summer and prevent the plant setting any seed. Hardy and low maintenance.  Lift and divide when clumps get too large.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 0.4-0.5m H x 0.5m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
