Tulbaghia simmleri - sweet garlic, pink agapanthus
APPEARANCE : Evergreen perennial lily related to the garlic, with blue-green strappy foliage and long slender stems of showy lilac flowers during the warmer months. Each floret has a central cup like a tiny pink daffodil. Flowers from tubestock size. Does not have the garlic scent of Tulbaghia violacea.
USE FOR : Borders, as a ground cover and in rockeries. Also suited to container planting.
CLIMATE : Will come through a light overnight frost
PLANTING : Plant in a full sun to partly shaded position in the garden. Will thrive in moist conditions. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks.
CARE : Fertilise during spring, divide at this time if clumps are congested, to allow the plant better access to nutrients. Plant the divisions elsewhere in the garden, it's a great way to grow your garden!
HEIGHT & WIDTH :  30-50 cm H x 15-25 cm W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
