NEW and EXCLUSIVE in this size plant! You'll only find it in tubestock size here at Australian Plants Online.
As if hippeastrums weren't beautiful enough, with those exotic orchid-like flowers, along comes striatifolium (stripe-leaf) and raises the bar. Each leaf has a bold white stripe up the centre, so even when it's not in flower, it looks great. In flower, your plant may bloom pale pink with pink pinstripes, musk pink with darker pink pinstripes, or pale pink with magenta pink mosaic patterns.

Hippeastrum reticulatum var. striatifolium - stripe leaf amaryllis

APPEARANCE: Strappy leaf flowering tropical bulb plant from South America. Flowers in late summer-autumn with tall stems of pink trumpet-shaped flowers in clusters, each petal variably striped or netted with a deeper shade.
PLANTING: Dappled shade in a tropical or subtropical border; ideal for growing indoors in pots. They will grow in dense shade but will not flower as well. Protect from frost, cold, and hot afternoon sun.
CARE: Mulch and apply a liquid fertiliser at half the regular strength each spring when new growth emerges. Water and feed weekly when in growth, or if the soil becomes dry, give a good deep water. Once flowering is finished, reduce the water and leave the flowering stems to die back; they will need a semi-dormant rest over winter. Lift and divide every 3-4 years or when clumps become large.
HEIGHT & WIDTH:  50 cm H x 60 cm W.
YOUR PLANTS: These plants are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
