They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder but we think this is one of the prettiest shrubs you ever will see. The branches fan out horizontally in layers, giving the common name of wedding cake tree. The flowers are pure white, lacecap, and sit above the leaves along the top of each branch so you can see them clearly.
Viburnum plicatum 'Lanarth' - wedding cake tree
APPEARANCE : Deciduous shrub with light green leaves that have a pleated (plicated) appearance. Branches are layered horizontally around the central trunk. White lacecap flowers bloom along the top of each branch in late spring.PLANTING : Prefers a partly shaded or dappled shade position in the garden and plenty of water during dry periods. Prefers well drained soil. Completely cold hardy.
CARE : Water regularly during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established. Trim after flowering to promote the next season's flowering and dense growth. Take care not to cut into hard wood, only pruning back the current year's growth. Apply a slow release fertiliser early spring.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 2-3m H x 2-3m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide
