Description

Viburnum plicatum 'Lanarth' - wedding cake tree

APPEARANCE : Deciduous shrub with light green leaves that have a pleated (plicated) appearance. Branches are layered horizontally around the central trunk. White lacecap flowers bloom along the top of each branch in late spring.
PLANTING : Prefers a partly shaded or dappled shade position in the garden and plenty of water during dry periods. Prefers well drained soil. Completely cold hardy.
CARE : Water regularly during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established. Trim after flowering to promote the next season's flowering and dense growth. Take care not to cut into hard wood, only pruning back the current year's growth. Apply a slow release fertiliser early spring.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 2-3m H x 2-3m W.
