Turns a brilliant red in winter and then becomes a gentle backdrop for your flowering plants the rest of the year. No-prune mini hedge plant or low maintenance shrub in a mixed border. Nandina domestica 'Firepower'
DESCRIPTION: Sacred bamboo. Compact growth habit with lime green foliage throughout most of the year, turning bright red in winter. Branches are horizontal and slightly weeping giving a mounded look.USES: Perfect for low hedges, borders and specimen planting. Suited to containers on patio settings.
PLANTING: Best colour in moist acid soils and full sun, but will grow in other conditions and soils.Tolerates frost and dry conditions once mature.
CARE: Mulch and water well, prune as required to promote new growth and fertilise using a slow release fertiliser yearly.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 60 cm H x 60 cm W.
YOUR PLANTS: These plants are tube-stock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
