Chamelaucium Ice Queen - waxflower
First time to market - we are stoked to have this BRAND NEW range of Helix waxflowers for you, fresh from the plant breeder.
Ice Queen is a taller-than-usual pretty white waxflower that will light up a native garden border in spring, and create a billowing white hedge in a natives or wildlife-friendly garden. Bred for pot growing as well as in the garden.
Most of our waxflowers are usually available for sale late January-early February onwards until they sell out.
Chamelaucium uncinatum 'Ice Queen' - Geraldton Wax, waxflower
APPEARANCE : Late season native waxflower hybrid; pure white blooms with a yellow centre. Tall growing variety with slender needle-like foliage typical of waxflowers.USE FOR : Native, seaside, and cottage gardens for flowering colour. Wildlife-friendly plantings. Winter-spring garden borders. Excellent cut flower, trim a few stems and enjoy them indoors
LOCATION : Plant in free draining soil in a sunny to partly shaded position in the garden, best flowering is achieved in full sun. Suitable to exposed areas in most parts of Australia. Tolerates light frost and is drought resistant once established. Prefers low humidity climates.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune lightly after flowering to encourage new growth and dense flowering next season, avoid cutting into old wood. Fertilise yearly using a slow release native fertiliser.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : Up to 3 m H x 1.5 m W.
