This strikingly unusual landscaping plant will be a talking point in any waterwise garden, indoors or out. Rare in cultivation, normally only seen in specialist botanic gardens, it forms an exuberant tangle of spiny slender stems when full-grown.

Cathedral cacti do not normally need any maintenance once established. They do have a sap that can produce strong skin reactions so be cautious when working with or around these plants.
