Fine foliage and an upright branching shape, very attractive, with flowers in beautiful shades of red-pink-coral - Elegance really lives up to its name!

This tall airy elegant grevillea is a paradise for birds and butterflies, and almost always flowering right through the year.

Note : These Elegance are grafted grevilleas, unlike our other Elegance plants. Grafting joins the main plant to another, more robust or adaptable, rootstock. This means it will grow in a wider range of soil types. Read more here

 

Grevillea longistyla x Grevillea johnsonii 'Elegance' - grafted

APPEARANCE: Large bushy native shrub with fine long slender foliage, russet stems, and vibrant waxy flowers throughout the year. The colour varies from warm pink through coral to vermilion red.
ORIGIN :G johnsonii is found in NSW; G longistyla is a QLD grevillea; both found in the wild on rocky sandstone
USE FOR: Plant as a feature in native gardens to attract wildlife, small birds love this variety.
CLIMATE: Tolerates drought and frost once established - growing well at the botanic gardens in Canberra.
LOCATION: Plant in well drained soil in a sunny position of the garden to enjoy a long flowering season.
CARE:  Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Requires little water once established. Feed with a slow release native fertiliser when buds form - grevilleas can be phosphorus-sensitive so the P ratio of the fertiliser needs to be under 3%. Prune after flowering to promote a dense growth habit.
