APPEARANCE: An evergreen spreading shrub with deeply divided dark green foliage. Produces strawberry pink and yellow coloured flowers for long periods in winter and spring. Bred by Richard Tomkin, exclusive to Australian Plants OnlineUSE FOR: Bird attracting. Ideal for use as a screening or feature plant, especially in native gardens. Very long flowering period.
CLIMATE: Will grow in most areas of Australia, except for the tropics and snowfields. Hard frosts may burn soft new growth but light frosts will not damage the plant.
PLANTING: Plant in a partly shaded to full sun position to get the longest flowering period. Ensure soil is well composted and drains freely.
CARE: Water during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established, and regularly afterwards especially in dry spells. Mulch to retain moisture and control weeds. Light pruning annually after flowering will promote flowering and dense growth. Feed with a slow release native fertiliser when buds form - grevilleas can be phosphorus-sensitive so the P ratio of the fertiliser needs to be under 3%. Avoid using glyphosate weedkiller nearby.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 1m H x 2m W.
YOUR PLANTS: These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80 mm x 42 mm wide.
