You'll enjoy a firework show from autumn to spring when you plant this hardy grevillea - the wide golden flowers open like chrysanthemum sparklers, big and rounded, and full of nectar for native birdlife.

Grows fast, in almost any kind of free draining soil, and loves a sunny spot to shine in.

Grevillea thelemanniana x olivacea 'Winpara Gold'
APPEARANCE : Large shrub hybrid of two WA native grevilleas; fine slender foliage with a grey hue; large rounded wide flowers, warm yellow, appear from autumn through winter. Plants are dense and bushy, fast-growing.
USE FOR : Native gardens. Coastal gardens. Winter colour. Feature shrubs for ornamental use and to attract birdlife.
CLIMATE: Tolerates frost once established
PLANTING: Prefers full sun to part shade in free-draining soil. This grevillea should be able to tolerate alkaline soils, unlike many other grevilleas, so test its pH resilience.
CARE: Water during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established. Prune after flowering to keep it neat and dense. Feed with a slow release native fertiliser when buds form - grevilleas can be phosphorus-sensitive so the P ratio of the fertiliser needs to be under 3%.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 2 m x 2 m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
