Backhousia myrtifolia - grey myrtle, cinnamon myrtle

DESCRIPTION: Small rainforest tree with clusters of cream coloured flowers. Famous for its timber, bark and cinnamon scented foliage.
USES: Ideal for streetscaping and feature planting in Australian Native garden settings. Attracts bird-life to the garden.
PLANTING: Plant in a full sun to partly shaded position in the garden. Plant in a free draining soil rich in organic matter. Tolerates most soil types and light frost.
CARE: Mulch and water well upon planting. Continue to water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune after flowering to maintain shape and promote dense growth.
HEIGHT & WIDTH:  3 m H x 2 - 4 m W.
PLEASE NOTE: These are tube-stock, with the benefit of being a young plant they will establish quickly in your garden. The average size of your plants will be 20 cm in height with a pot size of 42 mm wide and 80 mm high.
