Description

Passiflora edulis 'Flame Ruby' - passionfruit, passionflower

APPEARANCE : Large deep purple freckled edible passionfruit are produced following the purple-white flowers throughout most of the year, except in the cooler months. Vigorous fast grower. Fruits are large and juicy.
USE FOR : Create fast privacy screens as the vine climbs over fences and trellises. Enjoy the flowers, then the fruit. Attractive to butterflies when flowering.
CLIMATE : Sensitive to frost. Needs regular water to grow well
PLANTING : Plant in a warm sunny or partly shaded area of the garden. Plant in free draining soil rich in organic matter.
CARE : Mulch and water until the plant is established, water during dry periods. Will fruit for five-seven years from planting.
MATURE HEIGHT : 3-5m H .
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
