Phormium tenax 'Bronze Baby'
APPEARANCE : Compact growing flax featuring copper coloured foliage which is gently arching. Bronze-red flower spikes appear during summer.
USE FOR : For a tropical look, plant as a border in seaside gardens, rockeries and formal gardens. Suited to container planting. .
PLANTING : Plant in a full sun or partially shaded location in free draining soil. If planting in an exposed area, avoid the hot afternoon sun. Apply mulch and water regularly during the first 12 weeks until the plant is established. Tolerates dry periods and frost once established. We recommend planting in well drained soil as flax can be prone to stem rot in boggy or clay soil.
CARE : Easy care plant, simply remove old foliage, apply mulch and fertilise yearly with a slow release fertiliser or well composted manure.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 0.6-1 m H x 0.6-1 m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
