This native grass is like one of those Swiss Army knives with all the tools - it's good for frost and snow, sun and shade, under trees, moist soils and dry ones, loved by birds and butterflies, and is approved by heaps of local council planting lists. It's fine, slender, and very cruisy.

Poa sieberiana - blue tussock grass, snow grass

APPEARANCE : Clumping upright native grass with very fine, hair-like, long green-grey leaves. This fast-growing grass is found naturally in most states and a range of environments.
USE IN: Erosion control, bushland gardens, restricted native plantings, revegetation projects.
PLANTING : Plant in full sun to part shade, will tolerate frost and dry soils.
CARE: Low maintenance and tolerant of harsh conditions, requires little care once established. Fertilise with a native slow release fertiliser once a year. Chop off old seedheads in late winter to make room for new spring growth.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: Up to 1m x 0.6m.
