This Ozbreed hybrid poa cultivar is much shorter and denser than other poas, which means it's still great for wildlife shelters, revegetation mass planting, and low-maintenance landscaping - plus it will slip into smaller gardens and thrive in almost any soil.
Poa hybrid 'Rustic' POL11 - tussock grass
APPEARANCE : Dense fast-growing native grass with very fine long leaves, matt grey-green, forming an upright sheaf that cascades over at the top. The parent species grasses are indigenous to SA, WA, VIC and TAS and can be found naturally on coastal cliffs in exposed locations.CLIMATE : Will tolerate frost, drought, once established. Has not been tested in high humidity but grows well in NSW.
USE FOR : Ideal for coastal sites, dry climates, light erosion control, bushland gardens and revegetation projects.
PLANTING : Plant in a full sun to partly shaded position, suited to all soil types
CARE : Low maintenance and tolerant of harsh conditions, requires little care once established. Cut growth back by two-thirds in autumn, or early spring before new growth starts. Fertilise with a native slow release fertiliser once a year.
