Bauera rubioides prostrata x sessiliflora 'Rose Carpet' - river rose
APPEARANCE : Airy native shrub similar to a boronia, variable in size - shorter in sunny exposed sites and taller in shady sheltered ones. Foliage is small, slender, mid green in colour with bronze tinged new growth and in cold weather. Pink bell-shaped flowers appear for most of the year in well-watered plants, mainly in spring in dry gardens. Found all down the east coast from TAS to QLD in moist shady places.
USE IN:Pots, tubs, windowboxes, front of border, groundcover.
PLANTING: Plant in sun to shade. Prefers moist, light, well-draining soils, neutral to acidic; regular water, and a shady spot.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly during the first 12 weeks to help establish a good root system. Trim lightly in spring if required. Renew the mulch annually, especially in sunny sites, to reduce water loss at the roots.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 50cm-1.5m H x 0.5 - 1m W.
