Description

Senecio serpens - chalk sticks

APPEARANCE : Spreading groundcover succulent with silver-blue "fingers" and occasional yellow daisy-like flowers. If you like them, leave them; if not, snip them off. Very drought tolerant but will grow faster with regular watering.
USE FOR : Rockeries, pots, hanging baskets. Waterwise, firewise and xeriscape landscaping. High impact when mass planted.
PLANTING : Plant in well drained soil in a full sun position for best colour. Hardy and drought tolerant once established.
CARE : Will only need seasonal maintenance to remove dead flower stalks.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 30cm H x 60 - 90 cm W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants with a healthy young root system and will establish quickly in your garden. The pot height is 80 mm x 42 mm wide. Your plants may be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on. You can see an example in the image gallery.
