Tagetes lemmonii - Lemmon's marigold, Mexican marigold, mountain marigold
DESCRIPTION: Evergreen shrub with aromatic foliage; and bee- and butterfly-attracting golden-yellow flowers from late summer to winter. Originates in Mexico and Arizona, so adapted to desert climates.USE IN: Low hedging, mass plantings, pots and containers, waterwise gardens, flower beds, kitchen gardens to repel nematodes and whitefly.
LOCATION: Plant in full sun in humus rich, moist and well draining soil. Drought tolerant once established, will come through a light overnight frost.
CARE: Mulch and water well during dry periods while plant is establishing. Clip over after flowering to maintain bushiness and new growth, trim to shape if necessary
