Description

Wodyetia bifurcata - foxtail palm

DESCRIPTION: Australian native palm featuring a solid trunk and beautiful bushy 'fox tail' fronds. These palms thrive in warm climates in well drained soil.
USE IN: Plant as a feature in tropical gardens and seaside plantings. Beautiful in containers poolside.
PLANTING: Plant in a shaded or full sun position in the garden in well drained soil. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks.
CARE: Fertilise regularly using a slow release fertiliser, for an added boost for the foliage apply liquid fertiliser during the warmer months. Re-pot every 2 - 3 years to keep soil fresh and full of nutrients. Remove old fronds.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: Up to 10m H x 4m W.
