Big-leaf indoor plant for homes and offices, big outdoor tree in tropical gardens. Plant outside in a sheltered area to keep those leaves intact from wind damage. You can see in the tubestock image the shape of the young leaves before they get their wiggles.

APPEARANCE: Compact houseplant grown indoors; impressive tree when allowed to grow full-size. Large firm broad leaves with a curvy edge, reminiscent in shape of a violin, hence the common name. Young leaves will need time to develop their wiggles.USE IN:  Easycare indoor, container or tropical garden plant. Needs a sheltered frost-free spot over 10C.
CARE: Mulch and water with a seaweed based fertiliser on planting to reduce transplant shock, follow with regular watering until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Apply a slow release fertiliser twice yearly and protect from frost. container plants may need extra feed and a repot into fresh soil once a year. Wipe the leaves with a damp cloth to keep them healthy and looking good.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 1-2m H x 1m W potted; to 5m in the garden. When it reaches the height you want, cut the 'leader' or main shoot.
