This beautiful groundcover is first cousin to the native woolly bush - not that you'd know it from looking! Perfect for erosion control, poolside gardens, and rockery banks, this carpet-forming colourful native likes dry warm air, free-draining soil, and (like many of us) a coastal view. Plant it where the light can glow through the new leaves like a sunrise.

Adenanthos cuneatus 'Coral Carpet' PBR - jug flower

DESCRIPTION:  Groundcover relative of the native woolly bush with succulent-like branching silver-green foliage and pinky-red new growth. Each leaf has a wiggly crenellated top. Fast-growing, soft to touch. Small red flowers appear all year round that attract small birds and bees.
USES: Mixed garden planting, feature groundcover, native and coastal gardens, containers, poolside gardens and erosion control.
PLANTING: Full sun to part shade in well-drained sandy soils with neutral to low pH. In the wild it grows on sandy granite. Prefers a dry non-humid climate but test out its resilience for yourself.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established. Very lightly prune if you need to shape it; feed with low-phosphorus native plant food.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 20 - 30cm H x 1.5 - 2m W.
YOUR PLANTS: These plants are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
