Frilly double flowers, ruffled almost like sweet pea blooms, are rich pink-red and very showy. Bright green evergreen foliage with wine tints in cold weather makes a lovely low hedge, pot plant or feature plant.

Goyet is a place in Belgium famous for its huge ancient cave system. Large amounts of prehistoric artefacts and ancient bones have been found inside.

Azalea indica 'Goyet'

APPEARANCE: Rich pink-red, large double blooms on a small to medium evergreen shrub. The colour appears pinker in bright sun and deep red in shade.
USE FOR : Showy mass display or feature shrub.  Suitable for pots.
CLIMATE : Will tolerate light frost once established. Ideal variety for warmer climates
PLANTING : Azaleas love dappled, morning and/or afternoon sun. Full sun is ok but not too exposed, hot and dry.
Plant in a moist free draining soil rich in organic matter.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Continue to water on a regular basis for the first twelve months to ensure the plant becomes fully established. Azaleas do not like drying out. Prune after spring flowering to promote dense growth habit and flowering next season, fertilise using a slow release fertiliser such as Osmocote which is specially formulated for azaleas
