Description

Caladium bicolor 'Chardonnay' - angel wings

APPEARANCE : Large heartshaped leaves, dark green with variable white markings.
USE FOR : Ideal container plant for a shaded patio or indoors and interior planting schemes. Suited to underplanting in tropical style gardens. Perfect for adding colour to a shady corner in the garden.
PLANTING: Plant in a humid shady spot with indirect sunlight. Prefers free draining soil or a good quality potting mix.
CARE: Water regularly during the first 12 weeks and only if soil seems dry once established. Feed using liquid fertiliser at half rate every few weeks as the plant establishes. Remove the old leaves for a quick tidy up. Caladiums love humidity, for indoor plants regular water and a daily spritz on the foliage will keep them happy. Foliage may die back during the cooler months when plants become dormant. Remove spent leaves and place plants in a dry dark room, water only every 4-6 weeks and wait for it to burst to life again as spring arrives.
