APPEARANCE: Hardy annual, dwarf height, with satiny ruffled double flowers in glowing shades of orange. Thrives in poor dry soils and full sun. Plant in garden beds, in tubs and pots, or mass plant for a showy display. RHS Award of Garden MeritPLANTING: Sow seeds directly during spring and summer; and also autumn-winter in frost free areas into free draining soil in a sunny location.
CARE: Water seedlings regularly until established. Native to California, these poppies are perfect for our hot and dry summers. Apply a liquid fertiliser like eco-seaweed when flower buds appear and remove any spent flowers to encourage heavier flowering.
