A new colourway for this neat-leaved groundcover grevillea - soft lemon-custard flowers appearing during the colder months. It's a little shy to flower when young, compared to other mini grevilleas, but worth the wait for the unusual flower colour.

Lanigera - woolly - grevilleas are happy in coastal and seaside gardens, windy locations, rockeries as well as windowboxes and containers. One for cool southern and sub-tropical gardens, not too humid.

Grevillea lanigera 'Mello Yellow' PBR

APPEARANCE : Neat spreading native ground cover with small oblong foliage covered in fine silvery down. Showy clusters of pale cream-yellow flowers appear from late winter to spring.
ORIGIN : G lanigera (woolly grevillea) occurs throughout southern NSW and VIC in a range of habitats
USE FOR : Rockeries, coastal gardens, embankments. Ideal size for container gardens. Bird attracting native. Winter colour
CLIMATE : Tolerates dry periods once established. Frost tolerant. Happier in dry climates than humid ones.
PLANTING : Plant in well drained soil in full sun to part shade. Avoid wet mulch as the leaves resting above it may brown, using a dry mulch such as pebbles or chunky bark will help to avoid this in humid climates.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Feed with a slow release native fertiliser when buds form - grevilleas can be phosphorus-sensitive so the P ratio of the fertiliser needs to be under 3%.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 0.3 m H x 1 m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
