Grevillea alpina x rosmarinifolia 'Gold Rush'
APPEARANCE : Very compact native shrub with slender rosemary-like foliage; and curled golden flowers with a contrasting red stamen. Foliage takes on a golden hue in cold months.
ORIGIN :G rosmarinifolia is native to the inland areas of VIC and southern NSW; G alpina is found in VIC
USE FOR : Ideal size for underplanting, small gardens, containers and windowboxes.
CLIMATE: Frost and drought tolerant; performs well in drier climates
PLANTING: Tolerates light shade. Prefers free draining soil, flowers better in full sun.
CARE: Water regularly during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established. Prune after flowering to promote flowering, dense habit and control growth. A hard prune each 3-4 years will result in a fresh flush of flowers and foliage. Feed with a slow release native fertiliser when buds form - grevilleas can be phosphorus-sensitive so the P ratio of the fertiliser needs to be under 3%.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 1m H x 1m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
