Gunmetal grey, elegant and sophisticated, subtle yet dramatic. This beautiful frost-hardy plant is impressive by itself in a pot, and striking as mass planting. And that contrast maroon pop of colour under the leaf - wow!

A little dappled shade and a little extra water in summer, and they're happy. If you love alternanthera but get frost, heucheras are a fantastic alternative. And if you don't get frost, enjoy that leaf colour all year round!

Heuchera 'Silver Gumdrop'® - coral bells

APPEARANCE : Dense, mounding herbaceous perennial with scalloped leaves in metallic shades of silver, rich maroon purple underneath, and with contrast dark veins. Long slender stems topped with tiny bell-shaped flowers in mid-spring and summer.
USE FOR : Garden beds and borders, cottage and informal gardens, underplanting.
CLIMATE : Totally frost-hardy.
PLANTING : Plant in part sun to dappled or part shade in moist but well-drained soil. Plant heucheras slightly proud of the soil, so the centre of the plant is raised above the soil level. Will need more watering in full sun or warmer gardens during summer to keep those leaves lush.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks, and again each spring. Cut back any dead or untidy foliage in spring to make room for new growth, and give it fresh mulch.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 20 - 25 cm H x 45 - 50 cm W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
