Papillon is bred to keep on flowering, right through the warmer months, for maximum value. The name means butterfly in French and this lovely lavender in full bloom appears visited by a flutter of dozens of delicate snowy wings.

Lavandula stoechas La Diva 'Papillon White' - Italian lavender
APPEARANCE : Fragrant shrub, with narrow foliage and white flowers with long showy tufts.USE FOR : Perfect for cottage gardens and stepover hedging. Suited to rockeries and pots. Right at home in dry climates. Cut flowers may be dried and used in flower arrangements or potpourri.
CLIMATE : Heat and drought tolerant. Not as cold tolerant as English or French lavender but should survive light overnight frost once established.
PLANTING : Plant in full sun and free-draining soil. Avoid wet feet. Will tolerate lower light levels but flowering will be reduced.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly for the first 12 weeks until the plant establishes. Prune twice yearly (taking care to remove only 1/3 of the foliage while avoiding cutting into old wood) and fertilise yearly using a slow release fertiliser after flowering maintain compact growth.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH : 30-40cm H x 30-40cm W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
