The Aussie-bred Bee range of lavenders are strong compact hybrids, bushy yet small enough for pots and the front of a mixed border. They have strong colour and better tolerance of humidity.

Bee Pretty's flowers are red-purple with pink tufts, fragrant and a favourite of butterflies and bees.

Lavandula stoechas 'Bee Pretty' PBR - Italian lavender

APPEARANCE : Fragrant shrub, with narrow green foliage and bright red-purple flowers with pink tufts. The Bella range is bred in Australia for bushy dense-flowering plants with a long season of colour.
USE FOR : Perfect for cottage gardens and stepover hedging. Suited to rockeries and pots. Right at home in cool dry climates. Cut flowers may be dried and used in flower arrangements or potpourri.
CLIMATE : Heat and drought tolerant. Not as cold tolerant as English or French lavender but should survive light overnight frost once established.
PLANTING : Plant in full sun and free-draining soil. Avoid wet feet. Will tolerate lower light levels but flowering will be reduced.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly for the first 12 weeks until the plant establishes. Prune twice yearly (taking care to remove only 1/3 of the foliage while avoiding cutting into old wood) and fertilise yearly using a slow release fertiliser after flowering maintain compact growth.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH :  50cm H x 50cm W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
