Very unusual trailing or climbing vine, all over the indoor gardening blogs at the moment, due to its elegant good looks. Each long heart-shaped leaf has a blush of silvery green which accentuates the deep green of each vein.

Ideal for displaying in a high hanging basket or draping languidly over a hallway wall; or you can train it up a support where it will grow enthusiastically.

We love Monstera siltepecana for its fast growth, stylish good looks

Monstera siltepecana - silver monstera, El Salvador monstera

APPEARANCE: Climbing/trailing foliage Monstera, ideal for shaded areas. Long trailing stems with aerial roots, which will attach and climb to a mossy pole or tree trunk. Small green heart-shaped leaves taper to a long point, each shaded with a silvery overlay.
USE FOR: In tropical gardens outside, on sheltered balconies, or indoors in a pot.
LOCATION: Plant in free draining soil rich in organic matter in bright light but not direct sun. Protect from frost; ideally over 15C.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly during the first 12 weeks until the plant is established. A watering with diluted liquid fertiliser monthly will keep the foliage looking healthy. For potted plants, avoid overwatering. Spray foliage with a trigger spray to improve humidity in dry climates. Give it room to trail, or a support to climb up
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 1.8 - 3 m H x 45 - 90 cm W, can reach 10m+ H if climbing
YOUR PLANTS: These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide. May be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on. You can see an example in the image gallery
