Low maintenance, graceful ornamental grass with dark burgundy-purple foliage and creamy-pink fluffy foxtail plumes. Hardy, compact, lovely in containers or along a driveway or border. Taller and darker than dwarf purple fountain grass.

Pennisetum advena nana ‘Red Riding Hood’

APPEARANCE : Hardy clumping grass with burgundy foliage and fluffy pinky-red plumes from spring to autumn.
USE FOR : Rockeries and borders, erosion control, low maintenance gardens, containers.
PLANTING : Pennisetums prefer full sun to part shade in the garden.  Plant in a well drained soil, mulch and water well to establish.  Tolerates most soil conditions. Fast growing and can withstand humidity, high temperatures, and wind. Protect from frost.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks; and in late autumn in borderline climate areas to protect roots. Hardy and low maintenance once established. Cut back in late winter to encourage new growth for spring.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 75cm H x 75cm W.
