Pittosporum tobira 'Miss Muffet' APPEARANCE : Dwarf evergreen shrub, twice as wide as it is high, and naturally rounded. Bright glossy long leaves all year; dense growth habit; fragrant cream flowers in Spring. For a more upright form with similar looks, choose Pittosporum tobira dwarf. USE IN: Borders, pots, hedging, mass groundcover. LOCATION: Plant in well drained soil, in dappled shade or out of hot midday sun. Will grow better in a sheltered location but can stand some coastal breezes and light overnight frosts once established. CARE: Fertilise with a slow release fertiliser in spring and again in autumn. Prune only to maintain shape and compact growth - the branches are said to smell unpleasant when cut. Will regrow after a hard prune if necessary.
