Fern mix
Our Fern Mix is a lucky dip of mainly Pteris ferns but also some other kinds - you might get a maidenhair or a mystery fern in your pot as well! You can create terrariums, bottle gardens, shade beds and hanging baskets indoors or out.
Please note : Plants are living variable things, not factory-made, and the leaf colour may vary from plant to plant, as the plant matures and grows, or in response to light levels and cultivation conditions. Your selection may differ slightly from that shown in the image, because it's a mix.
To clarify : this is ONE pot with a mix of fern varieties in. You can see examples in the image gallery. As the plants grow they can be separated and potted up individually, or planted together as a mix.

PLANTING : Plant carefully ensuring the crown of the fern is above the soil line. Ensure the growing medium is well drained to avoid wet feet. Remove old fronds to keep plants looking fresh and avoid disease. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks.

Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring and a liquid based fertiliser every 4 weeks during the warmer months, take care to dilute your solution to half the recommended dose to avoid burn. Re-pot container plants only if they are outgrowing their pots.
