Salvia Lake Baikal - anise sage
The Lake series of flowering sages are bred for vigorous plants that flower fast on long stems. So you'll get fast results! (And salvias already give fast results so you could practically watch these grow...)
Lake Baikal has navy blue stems and calyces (the bits that hold the flower to the stem), and vibrant cobalt blue petals. The leaves smell of aniseed when crushed, hence the common name. Pollinators love them. Very garden-worthy all round and small enough for patio pots.
Fun Fact : Lake Baikal in Russian Siberia is the deepest lake in the world, the oldest lake, and holds around one-fifth of the world's liquid fresh water. Who knows what could be lurking in its icy depths...
