You love our flowering sages, especially the blue ones, so we know you'll flip for this cutie! Soft lavender-blue flowers, and lots of them, cover a compact little plant small enough for pots and front of flowering borders.
Meza Azure tolerates heat and drought, and if you give it a clip over once or twice a year after a big flowering flush, it will bloom all over again.

Salvia 'Mesa Azure' - flowering sage
APPEARANCE : Compact flowering sage with small leaves, deep purple stems, and small soft purple-blue flowers with large lower lips, which appear for most of the year in milder climates. Some sources list this as Salvia microphylla - baby sage; some as Salvia greggii - Mexican sage.USE FOR : Cottage style gardens, mixed beds and borders, wildlife gardens, pots and tubs.
PLANTING : Plant in a full sun to partly shaded position in the garden, in light free-draining soil. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks.
CARE : Cut back after flowering, to encourage fresh growth and more flowers. Fertilise in spring using a slow release fertiliser, give an extra boost during the summer heat using eco-seaweed. Tolerant of overnight frost once established. Protect from hard frost and mulch in winter to keep soil warm.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 0.6m H x 0.5m W depending on conditions.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
