Orchid-like ruffled blossoms of white, edged in frills of mauve-purple, in winter and early spring (and in autumn in our nursery). Such a pretty evergreen azalea, and a lovely compact size to only 80cm, ideal for outdoor pots or indoor use in cooler climates.

Azalea indica 'Rosa Belton'

APPEARANCE : Flowers in late winter to early spring with ruffled blooms of striped mauve and white on a small evergreen shrub. In bright sun the flowers eventually fade to white with pink stamens.
USE FOR : Beautiful in groups as a mass display of flowering colour. Suitable for pots.
CLIMATE : Will tolerate light frost once established.
PLANTING: Azaleas love dappled, morning and/or afternoon sun.  A full sun location may be ok but not too exposed, hot and dry.
Plant in a free draining soil rich in organic matter.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Continue to water on a regular basis for the first twelve months to ensure the plant becomes fully established. Prune after spring flowering to promote dense growth habit and flowering next season, fertilise using a slow release fertiliser such as Osmocote which is specially formulated for azaleas.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH : 0.8m H x 0.8m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
