blue star fern - Phlebodium aureum

DESCRIPTION: Large growing fern featuring upright blue-green fronds. The foliage is accentuated when planted against light sandstone and white surfaces.
USES: Plant as a border or use for underplanting in shady locations. Perfect for containers too! Try contrast planting with our variegated Cretan Brake Fern.
PLANTING: Plant in free draining soil in a shaded location, indoor plants should be rotated for optimum health. Mulch after planting to retain moisture and regulate soil temperatures as the young plant establishes.
CARE: Keep moist during dry periods. Ferns thrive in humid conditions. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring and a liquid fertiliser every 4 weeks during the warmer months, take care to dilute your solution to half the recommended dose to avoid burn. Re-pot container plants only if they are outgrowing their pots. Protect from Frost.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 60-90 cm H x 30-40 cm W.
YOUR PLANTS: These are tube-stock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The average size of your plants will be 15 -25 cm in height including the pot height of 80 mm x 42 mm wide.
