APPEARANCE :Compact repeat flowering bougainvillea with dark purple papery blooms all along the stems. Upright in habit with lush leaf growth given sufficient water; deciduous in drought. Bougainvilleas often have small thorns to help them climb.
USE FOR: Leave to ramble over a trellis or fence. Train over a pergola or arbour. Grow as an informal hedge or plant in a pot.
CLIMATE : Frost free
PLANTING: Plant in full sun in free draining soil rich in organic matter. Support stems if required to train the growth, but this variety should form a natural upright shrub. Water lightly but regularly during the first 12 months to help establish a good root system and leaf growth.
CARE: Mulch and water well, prune after flowering and apply a slow release fertiliser. Drought tolerant, will grow in poor soil and salty soils; flowering performance is improved with regular feeding.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 2 - 2.5 m H x 1 - 2 m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
