This perky little happy wanderer will not wander but stay close to home, as its habit is most definitely bushy not trailing. It's a low, dense, dark purple pea ideal for informal dwarf hedging, groundcover planting, and container growing.

Fun fact : a ha-ha is a low wall with a ditch on the other side, creating a defensive boundary that doesn't interrupt the view. You could create a lovely living ha-ha with this Haha!

Hardenbergia violacea 'Mini Haha'

APPEARANCE : Evergreen native with short slender leaves and dark purple pea flowers in spring. A very compact busy branching variety that does not trail or climb.
USE FOR :  Groundcover, wildlife garden, cottage gardens. Can be grown in pots and containers.
PLANTING :  Plant in full sun for maximum flowering but can happily grow in part shade. Protect from frosts. Mulch and water well until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks.
CARE : Lightly prune if it needs shaping. Reapply mulch and feed with a slow release native fertiliser during spring - Hardenbergia are phosphorus-sensitive so the P ratio of the fertiliser needs to be under 3%.
