The perfect pretty pairing to our very popular pink hibiscus Mrs George Davis, the blousy frilled flowers of hibiscus Mrs Andreasen glow in soft pastel shades of butter-peach. The large bushes are very showy in full flower, which is most of the year if you live somewhere frost-free.
We love Mrs Andreasen for her soft colour, big full flowers, long flowering season
Hibiscus rosa-sinensis 'Mrs Andreasen'
APPEARANCE : A fully double hibiscus with large frilled flowers in a soft butter-peach shade, summer through to winter in warm climates. Grows to a large bushUSE FOR : Ideal for hedges, or as a feature plant in your garden.
PLANTING : Sunny sheltered position is ideal in the warmer parts of Australia. Shelter from strong winds, exposed sites and protect from frost. Plant in a free draining soil rich in organic matter. A potting mix rich with peat moss or humus is ideal added at the time of planting.
CARE : Mulch and water well, prune and fertilise after first flowering in spring.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 2.5 m H x 1.5 m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide. You can see an example in the image gallery.
