Pittosporum tenuifolium 'James Stirling'
DESCRIPTION: Tiny neat grey-green slightly rippled leaves, on dark stems; plants have a naturally conical slender shape, very dense habit.USE IN: Hedges, privacy screens, topiary.
LOCATION: Plant in well drained soil, rich with humus in sun or shade. Will grow better in a sheltered location but can stand some coastal breezes and frosts.
CARE: Fertilise with a slow release fertiliser in spring and again in autumn. Prune to maintain shape and compact growth. Will regrow after a hard prune if necessary. Water frequently until plant is established, check for moisture during dry spells.
