Attractive clumping palm native to Australia. Variable and adaptable to many climates and soils. Perfect for landscaping tropical gardens, plant poolside or in pots for cooler climates.

Ptychosperma macarthurii - Macarthur palm

APPEARANCE : Medium growing clumping palm with ruffled leaves. Native to Northern Queensland. Will grow larger and more vigorously in bright light, shorter in shade.
USE FOR : Tropical garden settings and poolside for screening and feature planting. Suited to containers and indoor gardens in cooler climates.
PLANTING: Plant in a shaded or full sun position in the garden in well drained soil. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks.
CARE: Protect from frost and keep moist during dry periods. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring and liquid fertiliser regularly during the warmer months. Re-pot every 2 - 3 years to keep soil fresh and full of nutrients. 
HEIGHT & WIDTH:  6-8m H x 2-2.5m W.
