Lobularia maritima - 'Royal Carpet' - alyssum
DESCRIPTION: Scented plum-purple flowering groundcover ideal for garden edges, rockeries and pots. Try companion planting with mixed asters for cottage atmosphere.PLANTING: Sow seeds directly into garden beds or pots year round. Add a slow release fertiliser to the soil prior to planting. Plant in free draining soil in a full sun to partly shaded location.
CARE: Water seedlings regularly until established and during extended dry periods. Apply liquid fertiliser regularly for more flowers. Trim and apply a slow release fertiliser at the end of the flowering season to encourage re-growth.
