Grevillea Bonfire
Eastralia meets Westralia in this hybrid grevillea, with one parent from WA and one from NSW. It's a more compact sibling to the bigger bronze-leaved Bon Accord, which shares the same parents.
This mix of coasts suggests that this native would be happy in most gardens across the country, adapting to a range of climate and soil conditions, and reportedly good to -5C.
A beautiful shrub, with elegant fine foliage, and a long flowering season of vibrant prominent flowers, with heaps of nectar for native birds. It's a fine feature plant for wildlife gardens, and makes an excellent informal hedge if you have the space as it is bushy all the way down.
