Heuchera villosa, H. micrantha var diversifolia 'Palace Purple ' - coral bells

DESCRIPTION: Mounding herbaceous perennial with large maple-like leaves in varying shades of bronze-green to dark purple-brown, metallic purple underneath. Long slender stems topped with tiny bell-shaped creamy-white flowers (usually orange-pink, hence the common name) in mid-spring and summer. Palace Purple is more sun-tolerant than lighter-leaved heucheras.
USE IN: Garden beds and borders, cottage and informal gardens, underplanting.
LOCATION: Plant in dappled or part shade in moist well-drained soil. Plant heucheras slightly proud of the soil, so the centre of the plant is raised above the soil level. Totally frost-hardy to Russian levels. Will need more watering in full sun or warmer gardens during summer to keep those leaves lush.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks, and again each spring. Cut back any dead or untidy foliage in spring to make room for new growth.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 20 - 30 cm H x 30 - 60 cm W.
YOUR PLANTS: These are tube-stock plants, young healthy plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80 mm x 42 mm wide.
