Big heart-shaped leaves, each with their own unique cream patterns, like a galaxy of stars. You can see some variations in the image gallery!

We've had a couple of customers confused by the name so, to clarify : the botanic name is Monstera 'Thai Constellation'. This is the genus and cultivar name. You can read more on understanding plant names here.

Monsteras are commonly called swiss cheese plants because of the holes in the leaves; and this one has leaves that are not all-green, but splashed with cream patterns, which is called variegated. You can find more plant terms here. So commonly it is called a variegated swiss cheese.

APPEARANCE : Stunning foliage plant ideal for shaded areas. Leaves may reach up to 1 metre across, each uniquely shaped and with unique cream variegation. The indentations and fenestrations (holes) appear as the leaves grow and mature. Young leaves have smooth edges.
USE FOR : Plant as a striking feature in tropical garden settings or keep indoors in a large pot.
CLIMATE : Protect from frost. Mist in dry climates.
PLANTING : Plant in free draining soil rich in organic matter in a part-full shade location for lush foliage.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly during the first 12 weeks until the plant is established. Fertilise with a slow release fertiliser yearly to ensure healthy growth. A dousing of liquid fertiliser monthly in hot climates will keep the foliage looking great. For potted plants, avoid overwatering. Spray foliage with a trigger spray to freshen indoor plants and gently wipe leaves if they look dusty.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH : 1.5-2.5 m H x 1-2 m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
