Waratah - Alloxylon
Spectacular in full flower, this native rainforest tree grows happily anywhere frost-free with regular rainfall or irrigation. Long glossy dark leaves in rosettes; curly vermilion-red flowers sit proud of the branches.
Supposedly happiest in cool humid locations but grows well in Melbourne, Sydney, and here on the Sunshine Coast!
