Compact richly-coloured popular ground cover - Little Ruby™ is smaller, lower-growing, less vigorous than Alternanthera dentata with a more purple tone. Frost-free gardens only unless you treat it as a bedding annual; it thrives in humid subtropical gardens.

Alternanthera denticulata 'Little Ruby'™ 'LRU30' PBR

APPEARANCE:  Ozbreed variety. Purple-burgundy foliage on a compact spreading ground cover. Glows deep red when backlit by sunlight.
USE IN: Plant in groups as a mass display of year-round leaf colour.  Underplanting for brighly coloured flowering shrubs and trees. Suitable for pots.
LOCATION: Plant in well drained soil in a full sun to partly shaded position in the garden. Needs a frost-free position in cooler climates.Thrives in humid conditions.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune as necessary to keep tidy and encourage new growth. Fertilise with a slow release fertiliser in spring.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 30-40 cm H x 60-90 cm W.
