Acalypha godseffiana 'Firestorm'
DESCRIPTION: Quick growing shrub known for its vibrant varied colour; also called copper leaf or beefsteak plant. Firestorm is a compact variety and can be pruned into shape. The foliage is a mixture of bronze, copper, reddish purples and yellows, often with a contrast colour to the leaf edge.USES: Tropical gardens for those warm and bright colours. Great for Hedges, borders and colour contrasting. Beautiful in groups as a mass display of autumn colours.
PLANTING: Acalyphas love warm sheltered positions with morning and/or afternoon sun in a frost free location. Plant in a free draining soil rich in organic matter. A potting mix rich with peat moss or humus is ideal. Water well during extended periods of dry weather.
CARE: Mulch and water well after planting.
